Whale Island Resort
Offers overnight accommodations in 23 traditional
bamboo bungalows with single or double beds,
mosquito nets, ceiling fans, and a bathroom
with shower, sink, and toilet.
Scuba diving, the most popular activity on the island,
is usually available from January 15 through October 15.
Note that room
rates include breakfast but the mandatory
lunch and dinner meal plan is priced separately.
Visitors can can pay an addiitonal fee to resort to
be picked up in Nha Trang and driven two
hours to the Dom Mon Pier, for a 15 minute
boat ride to Whale Island.

Top Dive Spots in Vietnam
Group of 8 islands within the Cu Lao Cham
Marine Park, a marine protected area and
UNESCO biosphere site.Can be reached
by speedboat from the mainland in about 25
minutes. The Cham Islands are the home
of more then 150 species of coral, more then 200
of fish, 4 species of lobster,a nd more then 80
species of mollusks.
Con Dao Islands
The Con Dao Archipelago includes
Con Dao National Park and the islands
are an important sea turtle conservation area.
Offers beach and coral garden diving to a depth of 15 meters
and wall diving to a depth of 40 meters.
Located about two hours north of the city of Nha Trang.
Whale Island can be accessed by taking a two hour
boat trip from Van Ninh, a town about
60 kilometers north of Nha Trang. Another option
is to drive two hours from Nha Trang to the
Dam Mon Pier, and then taking a 15 minute boat ride
to Whale Island.
